Exercise Programmes
Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI)
Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is an evidence-based approach designed to help children develop better motor control, balance, andcoordination through carefully guided movement experiences.
In DMI sessions, our team uses a series of dynamic, hands-on exercises that challenge a child’s body to activate specific muscle groups and postural responses. The activities are designed to stimulate the nervous system, promoting the formation of new neural connections that improve movement patterns over time.
DMI is particularly beneficial for children with:
- Developmental delays
- Hypotonia (low muscle tone)
- Cerebral palsy
- Genetic syndromes affecting motor function
- Other neurological or motor-control conditions
Every session is individualised, with the intensity and support tailored to each child’s abilities. We use progressive levels of difficulty to encourage consistent improvement while ensuring the child feels safe, motivated, and successful.
Theratogs
TheraTogs® is a wearable system that provides gentle, continuous support to help children improve posture, alignment, and muscle control throughout the day. It looks like a soft, form-fitting vest and shorts made from special elastic materials that gently guide the body into better positioning.
By providing light resistance and tactile input, TheraTogs helps children “feel” their body alignment and build stronger, more coordinated movement patterns — even outside activity sessions. This makes it an effective complement to a child's physiotherapy and occupational therapy sessions.
TheraTogs is especially beneficial for children with:
- Low muscle tone (hypotonia)
- Cerebral palsy
- Developmental coordination disorder
- Postural or gait issues
- Neuromuscular conditions
- Genetic Conditions
Each system is custom-fitted and adjusted by our trained staff to target the child’s unique needs and functional goals. The result is improved body awareness, postural stability, and functional movement — helping your child move more confidently in daily life.
Pediasuit
PediaSuit is an intensive exercise programme designed to help children with neurological and developmental conditions improve their movement, strength, and posture. Using a soft, supportive suit connected to elastic cords, it provides gentle resistance and proper body alignment—helping retrain the brain and muscles to work together more effectively. This program enhances coordination, balance, and endurance, supporting greater independence in daily activities.
Spider Cage / UEU
The Spider Cage, also known as the Universal Exercise Unit, is a versatile exercise system designed to help children develop strength, balance, and coordination in a fun and supportive environment.
Using a network of elastic bungees and pulleys, our trained staff can safely assist children to perform guided movements, simulate walking, or practise standing independently. This dynamic setup helps improve postural control, motor planning, and confidence—making it an essential tool for children with neurological or motor challenges.
